What matters to me most about my childs' lives?

I think children should have time to play, over scheduled children equal stressed children. Why do we want our children to grow up before their time? I believe in communities who play and communicate together so that that they can make the best of where they live.

What drew me to Playborhood?

I think what you are doing is fantastic. A friend told me about your site I looked it up and discovered that we share very common ideals.

My recommendations for other parents who want their child(s) to play more

-Only schedule a few structured activities per term
-Spend a lot of time outside (away from distractions - kids and parents
-Be outgoing, make friends, encourage your children to do the same
-Keep it simple - expensive toys only get lost - they are often times more for us then the kids!

My favorite childhood play memories

Playing on my street in my small community where we would play tag and make up games and stay out side until dark.

Riding bikes all over town!

Playing with all kids - ones older and younger then me. Kids from different schools - always interesting!
