What matters to me most about my childs' lives?
Happiness is huge with me since my mother was depressed throughout my childhood and this rubbed off on my sister in a big way. However, I fundamentally don’t believe in zero-sum dichotomies in life, so I believe that my kids can be happy *and* well-educated *and* socially well-adjusted, etc.
What drew me to Playborhood?
Getting kids playing outside, independent of their parents, is my life’s mission, at least for now.
My recommendations for other parents who want their child(s) to play more
Let’s band together and form play clusters in play-friendly neighborhoods! Playborhood will try to facilitate that.
My favorite childhood play memories
See my manifesto.
